Updated 2020 AP Exam Information
AP season is upon us and it is time to finalize the remaining details regarding AP exam dates, final payments due and other important items you need to consider. Students have been emailed information about what to expect in the coming weeks regarding AP exams. Another email will be sent to students tailored specifically to their specific exams and remaining balance due.
All payments are due by April 24. Due to the changes in the AP exam testing process, the $40 registration fee will be credited to your AP exam balance for the 2020 exam year only. This is due to the fact that exams are being given online, at-home and that College Board is not charging any test cancellation fees for this year only.
Balances can be paid online on the Marian website. The AP Exam Fee link can be found under either the Students or Parents tab. If you prefer to pay in cash or by check please make checks payable to Marian High School and submit to Donna Smith, Registrar at Marian High School prior to April 24. If you are due a refund it will be returned to you at a later time.
AP exams will be administered online, at home May 11-22. Exams will be delivered to students online. Students will receive instructions about accessing and taking the exams via email. Communication from AP will be delivered to the email address you have indicated in your MyAP account.
Students will be able to take exams on any device they have access to—computer, tablet, or smartphone. Students will be able to type and upload their responses or write responses by hand and submit a photo via their cell phones.
For most subjects, the exams will be 45 minutes long, plus an additional 5 minutes for uploading. Students will need to access the online testing system 30 minutes early to get set up.
Seniors will be allowed to send one free score report to the college of your choice. You need to indicate through your MyAP account the college you would like to receive your free score report. The deadline to indicate or change the free score report recipient is June 20. This service is available to all students but is especially important for seniors.
The exam schedule and additional information regarding exams can be found at: https://apcoronavirusupdates.collegeboard.org/students
Your specific test information and balance due will be emailed to you by Tuesday, April 14.
