Katy Salzman joined the Marian faculty in 2016 after teaching nine years at Creighton Preparatory School and two years at Omaha North High School. Prior to her teaching career, she worked for the United Nations refugee agency, UNHCR, in Belgium, Switzerland and Rwanda. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in French and Political Science from Guilford College and a Master’s Degree in European Studies from the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium. In 2001, Salzman obtained her teaching certification in Social Studies and French from Creighton University. She was awarded French Teacher of the Year by the Nebraska International Languages Association in 2013. She currently teaches world history and international issues.
