Crusader Strong Campaign: Completing Marian’s Outdoor Athletic Complex

During the past decade, Marian’s campus has grown – adding a performing arts center, a front entrance, a lobby and an academic center, while refreshing our classrooms, cafeteria, hallways and labs – all for the same reason: to create the optimal student experience. Crusader Strong – a $7 million fundraising campaign focused on Marian’s outdoor athletic facilities – is nearing completion.

MAC- Marian Athletic Center

Indoor Athletic Training Facility

In June of this year, Marian purchased the property just north of the newly constructed track, which included an old warehouse. We have named the facility the MAC – Marian Athletic Center and plan to use it as an indoor athletic training space. The MAC promises to be a game changer for our golf, wrestling, and softball programs, as well as our recruitment efforts. We are the only Catholic school in the Omaha area to have anything of this kind. The overall cost of the project is estimated at $486,700.

  • Golf Training Lab
    • Two Foresight Sports GC Quad Golf Simulators
    • Two hitting bays
    • 32′ x 23′ sloped putting-green surface for chipping and putting instruction along with a sand trap bay
  • Two Indoor Softball Batting Cages
  • Large Wrestling Space for practice and training

Marian’s New Outdoor Athletic Complex

Crusader athletes can finally celebrate the home-court advantage with the completion of the outdoor athletic complex. The $6 million project provided improvements for soccer, tennis, softball and track, along with a plaza and parking for an upgraded fan experience. To celebrate the completion of the project, a ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for April 13. Take a closer look.
