Dance Team

The Marian Dance Team is coached by Chelsea ( and Kaitlin Farris ( Please email them if you have any questions.

Mandatory Tryout Meeting: (New and Returning Members with at least one parent) 
March 1st at Marian Cafeteria 5:30 – 6:30 PM 
Will include – Tryout Timeline, Requirements, Judges Score Sheet, Earning Points, Mandatory Dates, General Financial Expectations, and a Q & A. Handouts will be provided with details.

Tryout Clinics: (New and Returning Members, Closed to Dancers Only)
March 20th – 22nd 4:00 – 6:00 PM in Marian Gym
Will include – Learning a pom routine, a jazz routine, reviewing technique on judges sheet, a quick interview, and mock tryouts. 
Tryouts: (New and Returning Members, Closed to Dancers/Judges/Coaches Only)
March 23rd 5:00 PM in Marian Gyms
Will include – Review/music playing for girls to warm up and practice until their group goes, three dancers at a time. Dancers are asked to remain at the school until all groups are finished in case we need to watch anyone again, this is common and not a bad thing! Sometimes groups are changed up for judges’ review. We will have a better idea of an end time by Wednesday of clinics. Please note that in order to be accepted onto the team, dancers must: Complete the form listed above, Be enrolled at Marian, School Fees Paid (new), Accounts paid up (returners), Pay a $30 Tryout Fee by 3/20. Checks can be made payable to Marian High School, please put “MDT Tryouts” in the memo.

Mission Statement


All members of Marian Dance Team are expected to portray a positive attitude, excellence in academics, leadership ability and enthusiasm toward all school related events and activities. These members are first and foremost representatives of their school and because of these responsibilities, members will be expected to maintain a higher standard of behavior,  both on and off campus.  

Marian Dance Team Members will set good examples and demonstrate high moral standards including respect for the school and other members of the squad, coaches, and athletic director at all times.
