Senior Emma Prososki has been selected as a top female Scholar Athlete for soccer by the Greater Omaha Sports Committee. She was honored at a luncheon with other spring Scholar Athletes on Tuesday, June 7.
Although unable to attend the luncheon, Sydney Schroeder ’22 was selected as a top female Scholar Athlete for the sport of tennis.
The Greater Omaha Sports Committee, a nonprofit organization founded in 1977, consists of over 1,000 members committed to seeing sports flourish in Omaha. Throughout its 45 years of existence, the committee has been involved in many of the major sporting activities brought to the city. It also recognizes Omaha area high school Scholar Athletes, who are honored for their athletic and scholastic achievements.
Emma and Sydney were selected for this honor because of their many outstanding accomplishments on and off the field and court. In the fall, Prososki will attend the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, where she will be playing soccer. She has not yet declared a major. Schroeder is headed to Auburn University in Alabama to study professional flight. Congratulations, Crusaders!
