This morning, Nov. 10, 2021, at Marian High School, nine Crusader student-athletes signed letters of intent to play their respective sports at the college level.

Alyssa Cathcart ’22 is signing to play softball at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa, where she plans to study psychology. This past season, Alyssa was named an All-State Honorable Mention. She is a member of the National Honor Society and Honor Roll. She has been involved in a variety of Marian clubs and activities, including Worship Choir, Sign-Language Club, Culinary Club and Young Democrats Club. She has also volunteered at Lydia House and Open Door Mission.

Lucy Drexel ’22 will be playing volleyball at Benedictine University in Atchison, Kansas, where she plans to study nursing. Lucy plays and coaches volleyball at River City Juniors. She is a member of the Marian yearbook staff and serves as social media coordinator.

Molly Gallegos ’22 will be playing volleyball at Mount Marty University in Yankton, South Dakota, where she plans to study physical therapy. At Marian, Molly has been active in Operation Others, Polar plunge,
Project Welcome, Campus Ministry, Worship Choir and Kindness Club. She also volunteers as a volleyball coach for 5th & 6th graders.

Avianna Gonzalez ’22 will be playing soccer at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Avi’s athletic honors include: 2021 First Team All Super State, First Team All-State, First Team
All-Metro, Team defender of the year and team MVP. She also served as captain of her club soccer team. Avi has been involved in a variety of clubs and activities including Operations Others, Campus Ministry and class officers. She volunteers
at Boys & Girls Club, Hartman Elementary School and coaches youth soccer.

Nettie Knapton ’22 will be diving for the University of Wyoming in Laramie, where she plans to study equine science and pre-veterinary medicine. As a club diver, Nettie qualified for both regional and zone championships. She is a three-time USA diving junior national qualifier. In 2017 and 2019, she finished in the top 20 on platform. Nettie is a member of the National Honor Society, French Honor Society and English Honor Society. She participates in Campus Ministry and is an ongoing volunteer at Open Door Mission and Heartland Equine Therapeutic Riding Academy.

Emma Prososki ’22 will be playing soccer at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. Emma earned her first varsity letter as a freshman and has added a letter each year. Her athletic honors include: 2021 NSAA Academic All-State, Lincoln Journal Star Class A All State 2021 and Super State 2nd Team 2021, Omaha World-Herald All-Class Metro 1st Team 2021, Class A 2nd Team 2021 and All-Nebraska 2nd Team 2021. Emma has also been recognized on the club circuit, most recently as a 2021 Cup A ECNL National Semifinalist. At Marian, Emma is a member of the National Honor Society and Honor Roll. She has also served on the Memories for Kids Junior Board and Lolo’s Angels Junior Board.

Meg Raabe ’22 will play volleyball at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan, where she plans to study biomedical engineering. Meg has earned two varsity letters at Marian and was named a 2020 Nebraska All-State Honorable Mention. Meg’s club team won the AAU Junior National Volleyball Championship. Meg is involved in a variety of Marian clubs and activities including Math Club President, Campus Ministry, Worship Choir, Polar Plunge and Project Welcome. She is also a volunteer at St. Pius/St. Leo School.

Danielle Schlader ’22 is signing to play softball at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. Danielle’s athletic honors include: NFCA Max Preps Player of the Week, Omaha World Herald All Metro Conference Team junior year, Lincoln Journal Star Class A All State Second Team junior year and Honorable Mention Senior year. At Marian, Danielle is involved in Operation Others and is a member of the National Honor Society. She volunteers with Project Linus, Miracle League and helps with Marian softball camps.

Hannah Tate ’22 will play soccer for the University of Denver. Hannah is a varsity letter winner and named most versatile player in 2021. She was named to the Lincoln Journal Star Academic All-State Team. On the club circuit she was named to the 2021 ODP Midwest team. Hanna is involved in Football for the Works, IDEAS Club and Operation Others.
