Walk-A-Thon Donation

One of Marian’s most honored traditions for more than 20 years, Walk-A-Thon is the only student-facilitated fundraiser at Marian. Each class competes against one another to raise the most money. Goals are determined by the number of students in each class. The event encourages the students to be advocates for Marian in helping to fund student scholarships.
Walk-A-Thon 2023 – COLOR WAT
2023 Walk-A-Thon (WAT) is set for Friday, September 29. Sponsored by Student Board, WAT is a student-led fundraiser to support Marian’s operating budget. All of the funds raised during WAT go directly toward scholarships given to Marian students. This year’s theme is “Color WAT.” The girls are filled with energy and excitement to reach the goal of $105,000. As an incentive to raise funds this year, there will be a color party with a dj and colored powder at the end of the walk! Friendly competition between the four grade levels is encouraged. The two classes who raise the most money will walk a shorter, two mile route. While the other two classes will walk a longer, four mile route. The schedule for Sept. 29 will be sent out that week – it is considered an early dismissal day.
Students received the 2023 WAT informational packet on Thursday, Aug. 24. This packet contains a letter from Ashley Mercer ’24, vice president of the student body, about this year’s event, tips on fundraising, important collection dates and incentive information.
